Mother Teresa once said, “It is not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving.”
On Saturday, October 5th, volunteers from Prudential Heating and Air Conditioning shared a tremendous amount of love with Tom, Fay, and Maddie (Fay’s mother) from Louisville, Kentucky!
A few years ago, Tom fell ill. After several extended stays at the hospital, Tom learned that his heart could no longer support his body and was placed on a heart transplant list. Through all of the unimaginable trials and insurmountable hospital bills, Tom and his wife Fay continue to remain positive, trust in God, share smiles, and give love to their community, no matter what is going on in their own lives.
After months of sleeping in the close quarters of their basement with Fay’s mother, due to a record temperature hot summer and their air conditioning going out, Tom and Fay can now move back upstairs and sleep in their own bed at night again thanks to Lennox’s Feel the Love™ Program and the incredible volunteers that helped make this day possible!
Furthermore, after years of medical issues and the physical inability to perform daunting home tasks and basic maintenance, Jerry and his team at A Plush Lawn and Landscape went out and gave Tom and Fay’s home the maintenance and makeover it needed by cutting back bushes, re-mulching their garden and trimming branches around their home.
