Refrigerants

As of January 1, 2010, manufacturers are no longer allowed to produce R-22 heating and air conditioning equipment.  R-410A is now used as a more efficient and environmentally-friendly alternative to R-22.

In  response to international environmental concerns, R-410A was developed as an alternative to R-22, or Freon.  R-410A is not damaging to the ozone layer and also allows a higher heat transfer than R-22, resulting in a more efficient operation.

If you still have an R-22 heating and air conditioning product, don't worry - R-22 refrigerant will still be produced until January 1, 2020 to service existing equipment.  Due to this lengthy phase out, the transition from R-22 to R-410A should not be an inconvenience, but rather a step toward a healthier environment.

Recovery and Recycling

Prudential realizes the harmful effects that result in releasing refrigerant into the atmosphere; therefore, all of our mechanics use refrigerant recovery machines to recover and reclaim refrigerants. This refrigerant can then be reprocessed to the same purity level as new refrigerant and reused.

We recycle cardboard, scrap metal, paper, copper and other products to minimize waste for a cleaner and healthier world.  After all, you do your part, why shouldn't we?
